“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.”
~ Martha Graham
With Love From Me to You
Hello, and welcome to my gallery! Here, you will find a multitude of things, ranging from poetry to information about yoga, and even some travel stories in between.
Although I was born and raised in a small town in Pennsylvania, I always felt that I was born to adventure. I also was aware from an early age that I was sometimes viewed as more difficult or somehow different than others. I had a lot of things to say and was rendered as the “outspoken” and dramatic person in my family and school. What started as being punished for my tendency to open my mouth when I shouldn’t eventually grew into my only outlet; writing.
As a kid, I remember writing elaborate stories and having an imagination that ran wild. Not every kid’s idea of playtime was sitting in front of Word Processor composing stories, but it was mine (I still remember our first computer!).
When I was an adolescent, teenage angst and pressures to conform caused me to shut off my creative abilities for fear of being judged. I abandoned my writing practice for many years. Then, in adulthood, I wrote sparsely when I was really in a time of need; basically out of desperation.
Now, I find myself living in Thailand in solitude, traveling Southeast Asia whenever I have the time, and writing about my experiences to keep records, but also to explore and perhaps better understand life on this plane. 😉
It was in the year 2018 that I found myself writing more than ever, while simultaneously discovering who I am and embracing my individuality. This has led me to put my fear of being judged or cast out aside in order to share my writing. It is my sincere hope that I can reach others who may relate to the content, and maybe even inspire them to ignite those aspects of self and life that they are most passionate about.
This is NOT a place designed to showcase my resume or a portfolio — in fact, I don’t even have one — this is a space to compile my various life experiences, significant or otherwise, and document my ever-changing worldview. I write to persuade people to believe that magic is real and help them remember that everyday miracles do happen.
With Love,
