In Your Place

Curious, with our eyes wide

You bade me come in

From where I stood outside

You opened your door

The skeletons in your closet

Crashed onto the floor

You slid away in embarrassment

Leaving the remnants on the cement

For me to wonder what they meant

If you would only clear the space

You’ll see that I can fit comfortably

I’d quite happily occupy this place

There is a karmic wrongdoing

A past life trauma

A bond meant for ungluing

You play with fire, my twin flame

In darkness, you call out my name

yet you’ve only yourself to blame

You have a lot of love that belongs to me

But you aren’t willing to let me have it

Because you locked it away wrongfully
