Since the day I was born, I was a sensitive soul, a gentle creature.
From that day forth, I’ve been raised by wolves–held in their jaws passed around in their clutches, and played with while I played dead.
All the while, they kept me alive–even nurturing me at times. Yet, I lie awake each night, trembling in fear, scouting like a vigilant watchdog:
alone and terrified, I anxiously await that fateful day when the pack will decide to turn against me, and devour me whole–flesh, heart and soul.
Tonight, I will stir to leave my home and wander…
